First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether using a brain wave monitor (EEG) during surgery can help anesthesiologists give just the right amount of medicine, reducing the risk of confusion after surgery. About 225 older adults will take part. The goal is to see if this approach can prevent postoperative delirium, a common and serious side effect of anesthesia.
