First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests whether a medication (edaravone dexborneol) taken as a tablet under the tongue can help people recover from a stroke caused by small vessel disease. About 600 adults aged 30–80 who had a recent small stroke will receive either the drug or a placebo for 24 weeks, with follow-up for another 28 weeks. The goal is to see if the drug improves survival, reduces disability, prevents another stroke, and protects thinking abilities.
