NCT ID NCT07527871

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether screening people in the emergency room for drug and alcohol use, followed by a telehealth counseling session and referral to treatment, can help reduce substance use. About 650 adults who visit the ER will take part. The goal is to see if this approach lowers how often and how much they use substances and helps prevent overdose.
