First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a special monitor (ECOM) during heart bypass surgery could help patients leave the hospital sooner and have fewer heart problems. One hundred adults scheduled for elective coronary surgery took part. Half received standard care, while the other half had their treatment guided by the ECOM monitor. The goal was to see if this approach improves recovery.
