First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether an ultrasound-guided injection of triamcinolone (a steroid) and lidocaine (a numbing agent) can reduce pain and improve knee function in people with medial plica syndrome that did not get better with other treatments. 30 adults with confirmed medial plica and moderate to severe pain were enrolled. The goal was to see if the injection is safe and effective, with follow-up using questionnaires and imaging.
