First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested a 6-week educational program designed to teach 6th and 7th graders about sustainable, eco-friendly nutrition. The program used games, discussions, and activities to improve eating habits, attitudes toward food, and confidence in making healthy choices. Sixty teens were randomly assigned to either the program or their usual school routine, and researchers measured changes right after the program and again at one and three months later.
