First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how to reduce major complications and improve survival for people on ECMO, a machine that helps the heart and lungs when they fail. Researchers will compare different treatments in 600 adults to see which ones lead to better outcomes, like needing less organ support and leaving the hospital sooner. The goal is to make ECMO safer and more effective for severe respiratory or cardiac failure.
