Doctors test heart valve surgery using only ultrasound

NCT ID NCT07035847

Summary

This study is testing whether doctors can perform a minimally invasive heart valve replacement using only ultrasound imaging for guidance, instead of X-rays. Researchers will perform the procedure on 20 patients with severe aortic valve narrowing who need valve replacement. They want to see if this ultrasound-only approach is safe and practical for delivering the new valve through a small incision near the armpit.
