First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at whether eccentric exercise training (lengthening muscles while they contract) can reduce muscle stiffness and improve walking and balance in children with spastic cerebral palsy. 42 children aged 6-18 with mild to moderate CP took part. The goal was to see if these exercises could make daily movements easier and safer.
