Smartphone chatbot aims to tackle eating disorders

Summary
This study is testing a smartphone chatbot designed to help adults with binge or purge eating disorders. Researchers want to find out which parts of a therapy-based chatbot program work best to reduce symptoms. They will enroll 800 adults not currently in treatment and randomly assign them to different versions of the chatbot or a waitlist. The goal is to create an effective, accessible, and low-cost digital tool for managing eating disorder symptoms.
