Fresh produce and coaching: a new recipe to tackle childhood obesity?
NCT ID NCT05028205
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This pilot study tests a 6-month program that teaches families about healthy eating and activity, and delivers fresh fruits and vegetables to their homes. About 30 children aged 4 to 10 with obesity, along with their caregivers, will take part. The main goal is to see if the program is practical and well-received, not to measure weight loss.

- What this could lead to
- If successful, this program could provide a practical, scalable way to help families manage childhood obesity through better eating habits and food access.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very small pilot study (30 participants) focused on feasibility, not on proving weight loss. Results may not apply to other clinics or communities.
