Walk sooner, heal faster? new study tests early weight bearing after leg fracture surgery
NCT ID NCT06389240
First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether starting to walk earlier (after 6 weeks) instead of waiting 10-12 weeks after surgery for a certain type of shinbone fracture can improve walking, satisfaction, and return to daily activities. Researchers will compare the two groups to see if early walking is safe and leads to better outcomes. About 60 adults aged 18-65 who had surgery for this fracture will take part.
