First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether putting weight on your ankle soon after surgery for a broken ankle helps you recover faster and return to work sooner. About 150 adults with certain types of ankle fractures will be randomly assigned to start walking right away or wait several weeks. The goal is to see if early walking improves function and does not increase complications.
