First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether putting weight on your ankle sooner after surgery for a broken ankle helps you recover faster and return to work sooner. About 150 adults with certain types of ankle fractures will be randomly assigned to start walking right away or wait several weeks. Researchers will track healing, pain, and any complications to find the best approach.
