Early treatment could halt Skin's color loss
NCT ID NCT04843059
Summary
This study tested if starting treatment very early in vitiligo could stop the condition from spreading and help the skin regain its color. It involved 51 adults with non-segmental vitiligo who received a standard combination of UV light therapy and low-dose oral steroids for 24 weeks. The main goal was to see if this early approach reduced specific immune cells in the skin thought to cause the color loss and its return.
