Summary
This study looks at whether special reading lessons in kindergarten and first grade can help children with intellectual disabilities who use pictures or devices to communicate. About 120 children will be split into groups that get the lessons at different times or follow their usual routine. Researchers will check if the lessons improve skills like recognizing letters, sounds, and words.
