First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study aims to learn how hearing loss changes over time in adults aged 30 to 55 who have a specific genetic change (in the GJB2 gene) and first noticed hearing problems after age 16. Researchers will measure hearing with standard tests and also look at mood and genetic details. No treatment is given; the goal is simply to gather information.
