Can moving brain injury patients sooner help recovery?
NCT ID NCT05038930
Summary
This study aimed to find out if getting patients with severe brain injuries out of bed and moving earlier in their ICU stay is safe for their brain's oxygen levels. Researchers tested a special chair to help 22 patients sit and stand, carefully monitoring their brain and body's response. The goal was to gather evidence on the best timing for mobilization to potentially prevent complications from prolonged bed rest.
