Summary
This study tested whether starting gentle leg cycling in bed within 48 hours after spinal surgery is safe and possible for people with severe spinal cord injuries. Forty-five adults took part, cycling for 30 minutes daily for two weeks. Researchers checked for safety, how many sessions were completed, and measured recovery and quality of life at 6 weeks and 6 months.
