ER ultrasound aims to stop heart failure before it starts

NCT ID NCT06769880

Summary

This study is testing if showing adults their own heart images with a bedside ultrasound during an ER visit, along with education, can motivate them to get follow-up care and adopt healthier habits. The goal is to prevent heart failure in people with risk factors like high blood pressure or diabetes before they develop symptoms. Researchers will compare this combined approach to education alone to see which is better at encouraging people to see their doctor and improve their diet and exercise.
