Heart valve surgery timing debate: early intervention may beat waiting in silent regurgitation

Summary
This study looks at whether early surgery to fix a leaky aortic heart valve is better than waiting until symptoms appear in people with severe regurgitation who feel fine. About 217 participants will be randomly assigned to either early surgery or standard monitoring. The goal is to see if early surgery improves heart function and prevents serious events like heart failure or stroke.
