NCT ID NCT07292623
First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether a mild electrical pulse on the ear could improve the balance between the 'fight-or-flight' and 'rest-and-digest' systems in healthy older adults. Twelve people aged 65 to 80 received the stimulation at two different ear spots. Researchers measured heart rate variability, hand steadiness, balance, and other signs to see if the treatment made a difference.
