Ear stimulation trial offers hope for spinal cord injury complications

NCT ID NCT06588608

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether gentle electrical stimulation of the ear's vagus nerve is safe for people with chronic spinal cord injuries. Researchers want to see if this non-invasive stimulation might help improve heart health and blood sugar control in this population. The study will monitor 16 participants over two weeks to check for safety and collect preliminary data.
