Can a simple ear rub ease Post-Surgery constipation?
NCT ID NCT06862986
Summary
This study tested whether a simple ear massage could help prevent or reduce constipation in patients recovering from leg surgery. Researchers enrolled 40 patients to see if massaging specific points on the ear could stimulate bowel activity. The goal was to find a safe, non-drug method to ease a common and uncomfortable side effect of surgery and anesthesia.
