Military tests tiny ear needles to soothe PTSD distress
NCT ID NCT07021352
Summary
This study aims to see if combining ear acupuncture with mindfulness therapy can help reduce emotional distress and PTSD symptoms in active-duty military members and veterans. Researchers will place tiny, sterile needles in participants' ears and teach them relaxation techniques like yoga and breathing exercises. The goal is to see if this combined approach improves sleep, reduces alcohol use, and eases pain for those struggling with PTSD.
