NCT ID NCT03494322
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether adding cetuximab to the immunotherapy drug avelumab works better than avelumab alone for advanced head and neck cancer that has returned or spread. The trial included a small safety check first, then planned to enroll 114 patients across UK hospitals. Treatment lasted up to a year, with follow-up for two years, aiming to see if the combination improves disease control and survival.
