Do vape ads make smoking look cool to teens?
NCT ID NCT03786042
Summary
This study aimed to understand if seeing advertisements for e-cigarettes (vapes) changes how teenagers think about regular cigarette smoking. Researchers measured the automatic thoughts and attention of 139 adolescents when they looked at ads. The goal was to see if these ads make smoking seem more positive or socially acceptable, which could increase the risk of teens starting to smoke.
