New gel may ease pain after failed carpal tunnel surgery

Summary
This study tests a gel called DYNAVISC to see if it reduces pain after a second surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome. About 50 adults with ongoing or returning hand pain will take part. Half will get standard surgery plus the gel around the nerve, and the other half will get standard surgery with a fat pad flap. Pain and hand function will be tracked for 12 weeks.
