New treatment tested to tame dust mite allergies and asthma

NCT ID NCT05720325

Summary

This study is testing whether the medication dupilumab can reduce allergy and asthma symptoms triggered by house dust mites. Researchers will expose 88 adults with dust mite allergies to controlled amounts of allergens in a special chamber, then give them either dupilumab or a placebo for 18 weeks. The goal is to see if the medication helps control symptoms like sneezing, congestion, wheezing, and coughing when people encounter dust mites.
