Scientists test asthma drug in controlled dust mite chamber

NCT ID NCT05720325

Summary

This study is testing whether the medication dupilumab can help control asthma symptoms triggered by house dust mite allergies. Researchers will expose 88 adult participants with this type of asthma to controlled amounts of dust mites in a special chamber to measure their reactions. Participants will receive either dupilumab or a placebo for 18 weeks to see if the drug reduces allergy and asthma symptoms during these controlled exposures.
