Gene-Guided asthma treatment shows promise in new trial

NCT ID NCT03694158

First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether people aged 12 and older with a specific gene change (IL-4RαR576) get more help from the drug dupilumab to control their asthma. Over 48 weeks, researchers will count how many severe asthma attacks happen and check lung function. The goal is to see if matching treatment to genetics can lead to better asthma control.
