First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests a new, pill-sized camera on a string (OFDI capsule) that people swallow while awake to take detailed pictures of the upper small intestine. Researchers want to see if it's comfortable and works well in 108 volunteers, including healthy adults and people with celiac disease. The goal is to improve how doctors look at the gut without sedation or invasive procedures.
