Walking while talking: new test may predict falls in seniors
NCT ID NCT07631975
First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a test that combines walking with a mental task (like naming animals) can help predict fall risk in older adults living in nursing homes. Researchers will measure how much performance drops when doing two things at once and see if that drop can identify who is more likely to fall. The goal is to create a low-cost, practical screening tool for fall prevention.
