Double fix for wrist breaks: new combo approach aims for faster healing
NCT ID NCT07440251
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests a new surgical method for hard-to-fix breaks in the wrist bone (distal ulna). Instead of using just one metal implant, doctors will use both a flexible rod and a small plate to hold the bone together. The goal is to see if this combined approach helps the bone heal better and allows patients to move their wrist sooner. The study will include 18 adults with unstable fractures.
