New study tests best way to zap stubborn neck pain

Summary
This study compares three treatments for upper trapezius muscle pain: dry needling alone, dry needling plus anesthetic injection, and a sham needling plus anesthetic. Ninety adults with active trigger points will receive four weekly sessions and be followed for three months. The goal is to find which combination best reduces pain and improves daily function.
