Needle therapy tested for stiff, painful shoulders

NCT ID NCT03861923

Summary

This study tested whether adding a treatment called dry needling to standard physical therapy exercises helps people with frozen shoulder. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either real dry needling or a fake 'sham' needle treatment, along with exercises. The goal was to see if the real treatment better reduced pain and improved shoulder movement and function over a month of therapy.
