Summary
This study tested a new eye drop containing a natural protein (rhNGF) to see if it can safely relieve symptoms of dry eye disease. 317 adults with moderate-to-severe dry eye used the drops or a placebo for 4 weeks. The goal was to measure improvements in eye discomfort and tear production.
