Scientists test new weight loss Shot's impact on everyday drugs
NCT ID NCT06564441
Summary
This study aimed to understand if a new weekly injection for weight management (BI 456906) changes how the body processes three common substances: caffeine, a sleep aid (midazolam), and an antidepressant (bupropion). It involved 34 otherwise healthy adults with overweight or obesity. Researchers compared blood levels of these substances taken alone to levels taken while also receiving the weight loss injection over a 13-month period.
