Scientists test if new drug makes birth control less effective

NCT ID NCT07215806

Summary

This study aimed to see if taking an experimental drug called evobrutinib changes how the body processes a common birth control pill. Twenty healthy female participants lived in a research clinic for about three weeks, taking both the experimental drug and the birth control pill at set times. Researchers measured the levels of the birth control hormones in the blood and checked for any side effects to understand the safety of this potential drug combination.
