Head-to-Head heart drug trial seeks best treatment for millions

Summary
This study aims to find out which of two common types of medicine works better for people recently diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AF), an irregular heartbeat. About 1,900 adults will be randomly assigned to take either the drug dronedarone or a standard 'Class Ic' drug like flecainide. Researchers will follow participants for at least a year to see which medicine better prevents the AF from returning, has fewer side effects, and improves daily life.
