Summary

This study tests a new device designed to clear blockages in surgical drain tubes. Researchers at Mayo Clinic will enroll 500 adults having abdominal surgery with Jackson-Pratt drains. Nurses will use the device and give feedback on how easy it is to use and how well it works. The study also looks at whether the device can help drains stay in place for a shorter time.
