Summary
This study aims to find out how common a specific, potentially inherited form of Down syndrome is among children in Assiut, Egypt. Researchers will test 230 children with confirmed Down syndrome and their parents to see if the parents carry a specific genetic rearrangement. The goal is to gather local data to help improve family counseling and assess the risk of recurrence in future pregnancies.
