Summary
This study aims to understand how common a specific, sometimes inherited, form of Down syndrome is among children in Assiut, Egypt. Researchers will test 230 children with confirmed Down syndrome and their parents to see if the parents carry a specific genetic rearrangement. The goal is to gather local data to help families understand their risks and improve genetic counseling for future pregnancies.
