First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a second nerve block (serratus plane block) to a standard one (paravertebral block) reduces the amount of opioid painkillers needed after video-assisted lung surgery. 112 adults aged 18 to 75 scheduled for lung removal took part. The main goal was to count how many opioids were used, and the study also looked at recovery room and hospital stay lengths.
