New Double-Flap technique aims to seal sinus leaks in the mouth

Summary

This study tests a two-layer surgical method to close a hole (oroantral fistula) between the mouth and sinus cavity in 12 adults. The procedure uses a tissue graft from the roof of the mouth and a cheek flap to seal the defect. Patients are followed for 3 months to check healing, pain, swelling, and whether the hole returns.
