Brain's 'Optimism' and 'Pessimism' signals mapped in Parkinson's study

NCT ID NCT07402928

First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at how the brain processes optimistic and pessimistic reward signals in healthy people and those with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will use MRI scans while participants play a game to see if these signals are different in Parkinson's. The goal is to better understand why symptoms occur, not to test a new treatment.
