Donor milk may fix C-Section Babies' gut bacteria

NCT ID NCT06177184

First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether donor breast milk can help restore healthy gut bacteria in full-term babies born by C-section who need extra feeding. About 90 mothers and their infants will take part, with some babies getting donor milk and others getting formula. The goal is to see if donor milk leads to better sleep, growth, and gut health for the baby, and better breastfeeding success for the mother.
