New study tests whether a One-Stop shop for domestic abuse victims boosts mental health
NCT ID NCT04304469
First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at 67 women who experienced domestic violence to see if a special center (Maison des Femmes) that offers medical, social, and legal help in one place leads to less post-traumatic stress than a regular shelter. Researchers measured PTSD symptoms at the first visit and again 6 months later. The goal is to find out which type of support works better so that services can be improved for victims.
