NCT ID NCT06863688
First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a tourniquet during ankle fracture surgery leads to more pain or complications afterward. About 100 adults with closed ankle fractures from a simple fall will be randomly assigned to have surgery with or without a tourniquet. Patients won't know which group they are in, and researchers will track pain, function, and complications for 3 months.
