Can a simple chat improve your hospital stay?
NCT ID NCT06354920
Summary
This study tested whether teaching doctors specific communication strategies could improve their empathy and strengthen their relationships with hospitalized patients. Researchers observed nearly 1,000 interactions between doctors and patients, comparing doctors who used the new strategies to those who provided care as usual. The goal was to see if better communication leads to patients feeling more understood and trusting their doctors more.
